[ we are once again on the floor somewhere because shoma once again has not actually done the painkiller thing like an idiot because he (and i) both forgot. he would simply like to nap for, like, sixty years, but he's propped up against the wall and occasionally shaking the eight ball. ]
...do you think it was better or worse that we got both of them like this?
It sort of feels like we didn't even really have a good set of options in the first place. Not voting doesn't necessarily feel like an option we can take, but voting for either of them...they're kids. And it's not like any of us asked for this, so...it's even more unfair than I thought.
I don't disagree. This whole thing has been us having to play along with some dumb rules nobody wanted to follow for things nobody wanted to do. And the fact that we can't break that cycle because whatever's causing this is triggered inside of us doesn't really fill me with confidence either.
All this is doing is helping us eliminate more crew members who didn't deserve any of this in the first place. It's...I get that this ship doesn't have room for fairness, but it's not fair.

...can't say it's really gotten me anywhere, though.
...most of us aren't really qualified for this sort of thing. Even if we're used to situations like this, there're too many things that are just different enough that we can't resort to our usual methods.

To be honest? Worse. It'd be fine if we'd just known and hadn't ended up with both of 'em getting the votes.

It's been out of our control the whole time.

...so what are we supposed to do, Gregor? I don't want to keep sitting here and watch this escalate again, but I can't figure out how to intervene.
