temenos is in the medbay, as to be expected. there's still a big fat bloodstain on the front of his vestments from where throné held onto him, and he's sitting in a chair, elbows on his knees, hands folded in front of his mouth.
more interestingly, the weekly changes have really taken on form, here. there are panels of stained glass that crawl up temenos' cheeks, down his neck and into his collar, in colors of blues and golds and soft purples and reds. they're also fractured - in different places, the glass is cracked.
he looks away from the pod when he's addressed, eyes an unnaturally bright blue that reflects off of the glass. his expression, short of surprise at being addressed, is hard to read. neutral. calm. ]
... As well as she can be, I suppose. She is healing.
it can be rough to see someone show up in that state, too, if-- you know. if you're not him and rodya specifically. seeing anyone else return like that is concerning.]
[ more than anything else. it bothers him that he can't do anything about it, but they got throné here in time, and she's in there, healing. that's all that matters to temenos, currently. ]
Another anomaly, I suppose. It looks as if this may become a weekly occurrence.
Last week, when I went on my mission, I found that people from my memories were manipulated and used against me. It follows that perhaps the events of last week - the other group, in particular, may have also followed here. That people's memories are used against others.
Yes. Harder than I think she'd ever want anyone to really know.
[ which. it's hard to hide that kind of thing. his poor, traumatized throné. some of those stained glass panels fracture a little, on his face, as he looks back at the pod. ]
From what she was able to tell me, it was far worse than what we experienced, last week.
[ time. what with the weeks passing the way they do, anyway. he frowns, again - that stained glass paneling threatens to crawl a little further up the side of his face, under his eyes. ]
[he watches temenos back, during that pause. not really evaluating him in turn, or anything, just... looking, though he also turns his gaze elsewhere afterward.]
... maybe it will. Anything in there you're worried about?
Aha. In Solistia? Absolutely. We've monsters, after all - and several among our number have never faced them. A mountain ape could bowl over a regular person, let alone something far larger or more frightening.
Ah-- yeah, think yesterday showed that. There's enough of us who can, but if it ended up being mostly people who've never dealt with that kinda thing...

[a little frustrated, there. come on, they already have to worry about people dying during lockdowns, now they're almost getting killed this way.]
no subject
Yes. And not nearly enough resources to heal from them, either.
[ his THRONE ] Technology or otherwise.

Yeah, two of these are... pretty hard to work with when there's so many of us.

[ temenos glances over again. ]
You don't have to look away.

[he's just... uncomfortable with those features being looked at. maybe especially at the moment.]
So you think that they... were probably messed with in the same way your group was?
no subject
[ ...so. ]
It's alright.

[oh. that gets him to glance back up, surprise clear on his face.]
...must've been hard on her, then.

[can we not have escalating degrees of hell on this SHIP.]
But then that's... it's not just the physical injuries you're gonna be worried about, is it.

[ his poor traumatized throné. my poor blorbo. ]
Some things are not so easy to heal, be they by machine or by magic.

[he'd definitely know.]
Just... gotta keep going and see if time does the job.

But, yes.

[it sucks, though. knowing doesn't help.]

[ temenos glances over at gregor again, just - thoughtful. a long pause. and then shakes his head, returning to the pod itself. ]
I am quite curious if this place will eventually draw upon Solistia as one of its anomalies. I suppose only time will tell.
