[ hello bug boy... it's much the same for temenos, who looks deep in thought - though not mind palace deep. he glances over at gregor at the question, and hums, the noise thoughtful. ]
Many sorts tend to say things and not mean them. [ power structures. :/ ] And judging by how this all has started, I'd say this company we find ourselves tied to is one of those sorts.
[ this is my generic grown ass adult starter i apologize
anyway at some point in the evening, temenos is sitting in the bar area. he's got a glass of wine and one of the cookies from dahut and scien's display on a little plate near him, but more importantly, he's also got like a fuckoff large stack of papers, and he's scrolling (albeit slowly) on his IRIS, doing... something.
he glances off and offers greg a brief smile when he sees him in greeting, though. ]
this is uh. not temenos' usual jam. to say he looks out of place in this building is putting it very lightly - however, despite the oddness of a beacon of holiness in the middle of a room full of vampires, he seems to be fine? he's chatting with one of the patrons, some vampire dude who is eyeing him arguably more like a meal than a person.
has he noticed this? hard to say! but he is seemingly unbothered by the fact that this dude is clearly looking to take a chomp... gonna let that slide? gonna join the conversation? what's the plan bug boy ]
[ what IS going on around here, that's the question. temenos is.. .okay? he doesn't look great, honestly. he looks like he is very, very tired and still very, very pale. 5hp remaining. ]
Hello, Gregor. I'm alright. [ quiet, but still with a smile - placid and calm as ever. though, it softens. ] How's Rodya?
[ checking our pcs to see this has not been done so! no!
temenos can be found standing outside of the medbay on this not fine friday. he is leaning very heavily on his staff, but more importantly, he's really just
standing here. eyes closed. other hand on his chin. ]
[ the lack of greg around town today has been a little odd. that, and with the conversation they had earlier this week about unnatural changes and terrible inquisitors... well ]
Gregor, good day. Are you alright? I wanted to check in.
more interestingly, the weekly changes have really taken on form, here. there are panels of stained glass that crawl up temenos' cheeks, down his neck and into his collar, in colors of blues and golds and soft purples and reds. they're also fractured - in different places, the glass is cracked.
he looks away from the pod when he's addressed, eyes an unnaturally bright blue that reflects off of the glass. his expression, short of surprise at being addressed, is hard to read. neutral. calm. ]
... As well as she can be, I suppose. She is healing.
[ another friday, another murder case. temenos is sitting in the rec room today - he's not in his mind palace since i already did that gimmick with you but he is writing something in a notebook, occasionally referring to his iris.
he glances up at gregor and gives him a nod when he passes by, doing a brief scan to make sure he's okay and not really upset or anything of the like. ] Gregor. [ hey. ]
[--is as far as he gets before they end up in the void. he blinks, then barely has time to mutter "not again," before the rift they're sucked into puts them both through experiencing....
[ there's a moment, just one, during this memory. where maybe gregor will hear it, something out of place, an unfamiliar voice. a short, sharp, horrified: ] No -
[ that comes from the person beside him. it's an unusually discomposed moment for someone who is so perfectly, utterly composed, but the shock of watching yuri get devoured right in front of him comes with the horrific realization of two things. the first is the visceral reaction to it - he has become so fond of yuri that it has to be obvious, by now.
and the second is realization. because temenos saw this. in the mirror, back on the vampire planet, he saw the apple creature, holding her head.
[ after the trial, temenos can be found out in the observation deck area, looking out at the stars. when he spots gregor's reflection in the window, he just nods his head slightly to him but doesn't address him verbally. hey. ]
a few hours after all is said and done, temenos, now a bit more relaxed in clothing is hanging out in the observation deck. he's seated, because he blew absolutely all of his sp, but has a cup of tea and just seems content to be watching the stars outside.
when he spots gregor, though! he gives him a smile as he pulls himself out of his thoughts, doing a brief sweep over to see if he's uninjured... ]
[taking a seat next to him, there-- he's dressed down from his usual limbus uniform, just a dress shirt and jeans. he's uninjured after probably getting healing shoved at him earlier though.]
This is the best a Saturday's felt on this whole trip.
intro weekend
[hello. gregor is chilling somewhere, messing with the iris.]
Doesn't sound like a bad gig, assuming they follow through, but... ah, I've seen companies say things before.

Ah, h-hey-!
[the plan is sliding up to temenos and linking an arm through his in a way that is ostensibly meant to be familiar, but comes off kind of awkward.]
Sorry I'm late, there was... a long line at the store! Y'know, that thing I needed to buy first.

temenos is in the medbay, as to be expected. there's still a big fat bloodstain on the front of his vestments from where throné held onto him, and he's sitting in a chair, elbows on his knees, hands folded in front of his mouth.
