Oh, there's stars, sure. Seeing them like this... it's something else completely.

So it is. Perhaps you are right to turn your attention to the positives. I take it space travel is uncommon where you are from?

Pretty uncommon. It's not out of the question... but I don't think there's much interest in it, or somebody'd be going already.

Oh? Is there something else that fascinates the people?

Money, mostly. The fact we haven't worked much on leaving the ground's probably got something to do with the higher-ups not thinking there's much in it for them, in return for their investment.

[agamid]

Quite unusual for powerful men not to consider how they might plunder new areas.

[verminous]

They're plundering the ones they've got well enough. Guess they're comfortable... or opening things up more would be an issue for 'em.

Too much effort not enough reward?

Or at least no confirmation of a reward they can keep control of, which is about the same to them.

[agamid]

Perhaps it's for the better. As I said, there is no need for man to spread himself across all realms.

Had some issues with that where you're from?

Mostly of conquests on land. There has been no time that I know of where nations weren't squabbling over territory.

It seems foolish to let it spread even further.
