Some of us take precautions. [ he outright says it. but well...yeah. it was worth it in the end. ]
Yeah, I'm not going to lie I really thought that was just a thing. [ shrug. ] You both seem pretty comfortable around each other that it didn't strike me as weird. [ second time??? ]
You too-- we're comrades! After you've died with someone enough times, you get comfortable enough... or after you've killed each other enough times, too, but I've never kept track of that.
[corrosion happens! he figures shoma gets what he means.]
People fall in love with their friends and comrades all the time. It's, like, an extremely popular trope for a reason. [ but yes he does get what gregor means, he's not going to question how often the two of them have killed each other. ]
I don't know if people really put thought into these things, considering someone tied Isabel and Owner together while one of them was a worm. [ dry. ] ...if anything, it might've been better it was the two of you since you could talk it through and make it not weird.
Yeah. Might've been because people weren't sure what would happen and then once we learned it was mostly harmless people thought it was funny. [ there's a moment he pauses to cough into his arm. a few flecks of rust appear on his sleeve when he pulls away. ] I mean some of the timing could've been better, but at least most people are smart enough now not to curse people on Thursdays?
Yeah. I was...pretty mad at the time, but Charles told me the person who did it had no idea we were even gone. I can kind of see the point, but it was still bad at the time.
He's diplomatic that way. [ fond. ] Sometimes I wish he'd let himself be a little more mad but I think he knows he doesn't want to be. Plus we already have a lot of other reasons to be mad on this ship anyway.
He's levelheaded so he might, but I've been making it a point to check on him every weekend at least once or twice anyway. He's been losing a lot of friends lately, too. The most we can do at this point is...you know. The whole "support each other" thing. Even if we're not all great at it.
I was wondering about that. [ ... ] Thank you. For doing it even if it was originally just to be there for him. It probably helps having somebody else around.
Yeah, I usually go see the people we catch to try and talk them through their thought process and figure out the affliction so I just went to see Rosamund. I didn't entirely agree with Bradley's method either, and I've never spoken to him.
[ ... ] There's a high chance this weekend is going to be someone we all like anyway. So there's that. You and Charles are going to need each other.

[you were not easy shoma but it was worth the effort. ... everyone here has been, honestly, they're all...
it's just full of people he likes.]
Feels like it went better the second time anyway. Not counting Rodya, that was the curse. Still not sure about that one, though.

Whoever did that probably should've put a little more thought into, uh, us still needing to go home and work together.

[like, objectively, that was funny.]

No, I guess you have a really good point. On the plus side, nobody's been wormed for a while? Maybe we're free for a little while.
[ he will give gregor one (1) reprieve from being grilled about relationship follies. ]

We haven't had as many animals either, right? Still some, but it feels like we really just went wild with those in the beginning.

Just hope he'll actually say so if he needs the support himself.

Not that I never want to be there for my own reasons either, but... ah, you know what I mean.

I had to skip last weekend, I was too frustrated with Bradley to be sure I wouldn't kill the mood, but. I'll be there again this time.

...they have to be fine this time too.]
